THE CHARLES L. HERTZOG SCHOLARSHIP FUND
OF THE LYONS UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
The Hertzog Scholarship Fund is named in honor of the Rev. Charles L. Hertzog, pastor of the Evangelical United Brethren Church of Lyons, New York from 1956-65. It is intended to provide student aid to persons preparing for full or part time Christian service.
All applications for aid shall be made by April 15th of each year and are subject to approval and the amount of aid granted, will be decided by the Hertzog scholarship fund committee of the Lyons United Methodist Church.
Applicants must be members of a Christian Church for at least 2 years or, in the case of foreign students, members of an affiliated church in their native country.
Upon completion of their education, applicants must enter into Christian service for at least 2 years.

The Hertzog Scholarship committee will review all applications and will determine the amount to be awarded, based on individual merit. Applicants may be required to attend an interview with the committee prior to final approval.
First priority shall be given to members of the Lyons United Methodist Church, their extended families and the Finger Lakes District. All other applicants will be considered by merit.
